Q-Games is also known for making another obscure game series known as PixelJunk. The reason for the series obscurity is the fact that each installment differs greatly from the last. The first game in the series is known as PixelJunk Racers which is categorized as a “puzzle racing video game”. The player switches between five lanes and only has control over the horn, throttle, and the ability to switch lanes. The next installment PixelJunk Monsters takes an entirely different approach and is categorized as a tower defense game.

The Tomorrow Children follows Q-Games odd formula as it consisted of resource gathering, city-building, and some light combat and platforming elements that were not properly fleshed out. The Tomorrow Children’s identity crisis is most likely what led to its failure as it seems as though the developers did not have enough time to create the vision that they had for the title. Fans of the series will be happy to know that now that Q-Games has gotten its hands back on The Tomorrow Children, it will be able to tweak it until it can get the game to where it wants it to be.
Founder of Q-Games Dylan Cuthbert was overjoyed with the company’s acquisition and made an official statement thanking Sony for returning the intellectual property to Q-Games. Cuthbert also issued a thank you to fans in the statement and later tweeted a special thank you to the “100s of thousands of Arabian players who stormed The Tomorrow Children nightly back in the day.” The title has yet to be given a release date with Q-Games merely saying that it will release some time in the future.
One of the strangest mechanics of The Tomorrow Children also appeared in the Dark Souls series is the fact that the game shows you brief transparent glimpses of other characters but does not actually let players interact with them. This makes sense in Dark Souls as players can interact with other players in many other ways, however, weirdly enough this is the only form of multiplayer in The Tomorrow Children.
