Marvel’s MODOK stands out among the rest as the villain that is essentially just a massive human head controlling a floating chair. It turns out the now-canceled Marvel New Warriors TV show was going to feature the first portrayal of a live-action MODOK by none other than Keith David.

The news comes directly from Twitter account of the New Warriors show-runner, Kevin Beigel. In a tweet last week, Beigel shared a bit of information about the series saying, “I just got sad talking to a friend because I remembered we had a seasons-long plan on our New Warriors show to turn Keith David’s character into M.O.D.O.K.” Marvel has found success in other television series, like Agents of SHIELD.

While it’s unfortunate that some Marvel fans may never get a glimpse at a live-action version of MODOK, the character would no doubt be extremely hard to portray faithfully in a believable fashion without heavy CGI. While the New Warriors TV show failed to catch the attention of network executives, Marvel is still planning plenty of content that fans can look forward to, like Marvel’s Avengers now confirmed for PS5.
